The charging infrastructure for electric cars is in a constant state of expansion. There are now almost 24,000 charging stations in Germany. Thus, there is no great danger of not finding a suitable charging station, even on longer journeys. The only question is what exactly charging stations are.
A charging station for electric cars can be compared to an ordinary gas station. That is why the alternative name e-charging stations is also widely used. Instead of a gas pump, however, there are one or more (usually up to three) permanently mounted charging cables or sockets here, to which e-car drivers can connect their own charging cable.
